Let’s Get Our Hands Dirty

Darlington’s best (only?) Runaways tribute band do their rock’n’Grohl thing on ‘Lets Get Our Hands Dirty’, and it doesn’t half take us back to the bad old days of peroxide rock. Remember that bit in Wayne’s World where Tia Carrere’s foxy bassist character starts to be a ‘rock’ star, in the billowy, wind machine, big hair, late-’80s, ludicrous videos sense of the term ‘rock’? Well this song’s a bit like that, but not necessarily in a bad way. We sense they are all too aware of the retro value of their tunage – after all the video features lots of leopard print and a massive glitter ball. Eek.
