NME Reviews

M83 : 0078h

Sensational electro crossover

the ones you least suspect. So that a couple of French electro spods with the blandest name since MC5 have produced one of the most interesting and experimental records of the year should really have come as very little surprise, especially when it’s called something so laughably prosaic as '0078h'. Like My Bloody Valentine immersed in the techno age, it's all lush, white noise keyboards, vocoder vocals that sound like a skipping CD and funny alien whirring noises. Let's hope they release the painfully dull sounding album track 'On A White Lake, Near A Green Mountain' next - it's sure to be the most thrilling song of the century.
