'Skins' 'orgy' poster banned
Advertising Standards Agency slams promo poster
A poster advertising the E4 TV show 'Skins' has been banned by the Advertising Standards Agency, who said it may cause offence and was inappropriate for children to see.
The poster, pictured, shows young characters in various states of undress in what looks like the aftermath of a house party.
The agency said that the poster "could cause serious or widespread offence", reports BBC News. Channel 4 reacted to the poster ban by claiming that 'Skins' showed the "consequences of hedonistic and irresponsible behaviour".
A complaint suggesting that the poster could actively encourage underage sex was dismissed by the agency, as was a complaint about another 'Skins' poster, which depicted actor Nicholas Hoult lying submerged in a bath.
