Oasis member quits

Oasis

One of the band is unlikely to play with the Manchester legends again

Oasis drummer Zak Starkey is unlikely to perform with the band again after falling out with singer/guitarist Noel Gallagher.

According to The Sun today (May 12), Starkey is highly unlikely to play with the band on any forthcoming live dates, and his involvement in their forthcoming new album, recently completed, will be his last with Oasis.

The newspaper quotes a source close to the band as saying: "There have been arguments with Noel Gallagher and general disagreements."

No official announcement about a possible departure or replacement have been made by the band.

The band are due to embark on a US tour in August, and are rumoured to be announcing further live plans soon.

Bit of a shame cos he's a top drummer, but now Noel & Liam should try and get Whitey back. Highly unlikely, but you can only try.

haha this is funny, I bet they ask whitey to come back, hope he tells them to fuck right off, sacking him like that in favour of the son of a beatle was disgusting. Twats.

i saw starkey with the who about 8 years ago and thought it was amazing, never really rated him much in oasis though. alan whites sound for me was one of the best things about oasis in their best years... it needs to be recreated.

For starters drgonzo2012, Whitey wasnt sacked, he made the decision to leave because he felt he was becoming to much of a 'session' musician and he wasnt enjoying it anymore. and Zak isnt and has never been the official drummer for oasis, he has always been just a temporary measure. but still...Bring back Whitey!

Forget Alan White - get Steve White instead! Now Weller has ditched him he'll be looking for a gig

Moon1979

for your information Midgeman90 i had a drum lesson with Steve White and he told me his brother got a call from Oasis management while he was away on holiday telling him he was no longer wanted in the band, he tried to get in touch with Noel or Liam but they never answered his calls and that was it for him and Oasis. Sums up the Gallaghers really. Tossers who used to write good tunes!!

How about Jonny Aitken- played drums on Nic Armstrong's Greatest White Liar, which Noel loved and took them on tour to the US (they also played with them at the Noise & Confusion, Millenium Stadium). Jonny also session for Spirtulized. He's one of the best drummers i've seen and as visual as Keith Moon- which would make Oasis a bit more interesting to watch.

it's true, zak was never really a member (look closely and you'll find him as "guest musician" as well as Jay Darlington, all over the Don't Believe... album and the Lord Don't... dvd). I have to say that i'm really dissapointed by Noel, he just has to stop fighting with people!, Zak brought the last album a spirit i've never felt since "Morning Glory"!! And I went to the gig in Argentina....wow, speachless...his drumming was so punky, so vintage rock, that Whitey never could achieve.Let's face it, Whitey was great drumming in records, but live....mmm, it was kinda basic and boring

well hang on a sec we don't even know if zack has even left yet. Just because a 1 newspaper , in its gossip section, says that zacks left it dosen't mean its true, no one from the band has said anything so until noel or zack says its true, its just hear'say!!!!
