Ariana Grande ‘splits from fiancée Pete Davidson’ after five months

"It was it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off."

Ariana Grande has reportedly split from her fiancée Pete Davidson, five months after the couple confirmed their engagement.

The ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ singer and SNL comedian Davidson got engaged in May, only several weeks after they began dating. The pair are believed to have moved in together, and Grande even named a song on latest album Sweetener after her fiancée.

However, TMZ now claims that the pair split up over the weekend, having realised “that it was it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off. We’re told the two still have love for each other, but things are over romantically.”

The split comes a week after Grande admitted that she was taking a short break from music after the death of former boyfriend Mac Miller in September.

It came as she responded to a fan on Instagram who was unhappy after the video for new single ‘Breathin’ featured footage of the pet pig that she shared with Davidson.

“This era is beautiful to me but idk. Been thru hell and back and I’m doing my best to keep going. ‘Thought this would make u laugh while u wait for the real one bc i took a break to take care of myself for a lil while. My b”, she responded on PopCrave’s Instagram account.

Meanwhile, Davidson is becoming a frequently familiar fixture on Saturday Night Live – and last week delivered a impassioned monologue that rallied against Kanye West’s recent controversial appearance on the show.

They are both yet to confirm their split.
