Singer-songwriter showcases album with full band

Eugene McGuinness previewed his forthcoming debut album in London last night (September 24) – playing one of his first gigs with a full band.

The Liverpool-based singer-songwriter performed tracks from his self-titled record at the 229 club. Young Husband and folk singer Pete Greenwood were also on the bill.

After kicking off his show solo, McGuinness was joined onstage by his full band. who have only backed him live a handful of times before. The group then sped through a pacy, jangly set of songs set to feature on the singer's debut, alongside tracks from his earlier EP 'The Early Learnings Of Eugene McGuinness'.

"I really enjoyed playing with the band," McGuinness told NME.COM afterwards. "It was pretty glorious."
