Oasis, Alex Turner, Lily Allen – your music gossip stop

Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today’s top gossip:

Guns N' Roses insiders are supposedly blaming the band's (relatively) poor chart placing for comeback album 'Chinese Democracy' on Axl Rose.

The album was beaten to the top of the UK charts by The Killers' 'Day And Age' on Sunday (November 30). Sources have said that record bosses are fuming because Rose has been AWOL for the last two months - meaning he hasn't done any promotional work for the album (The Sun).

From the papers:

Former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren says his favourite DVD is 'Mamma Mia!' (The Sun).

Alex Turner admired photographs by The Mofo
at Cordy House Gallery (Daily Star).

Beyonce wore a blonde wig during the filming of a new film in which she plays renowned jazz singer Etta James (Daily Mirror).

The mother of a six year-old child asked Noel Gallagher to put her son on the guestlist for Oasis' Mexican shows recently. "Tell him to bring ID," the guitarist joked (Daily Record).

Kaiser Chiefs are set to cover a Girls Aloud song on the girl band's forthcoming ITV Christmas special (The Sun).

Lily Allen went to the BBC studios in central London dressed in a Paddington Bear-esque coat (Daily Mirror).

From NME.COM users:

Alison Mosshart from The Kills, Ryan Jarman from The Cribs and Kate Nash all watched Franz Ferdinand at London's The End club in Holborn, central London (from Alex).

Alan McGee watched Glasvegas at London Shepherds Bush Empire (from Jimmy).

I can't stand the fact that their calling this a 'Guns N' Roses' albumAxel has been absent for the past 15 years, unaware the music has changed magnificentally. This is a corrupt mix of techno monophonics and dug-up 90's guitar riffs!Yeah, if you bought this your a wanker!
