Janis Winehouse reveals she does have the 'odd sneaky cigarette'

Amy Winehouse's mother has stated she believes her daughter is clean of drugs.

Janis Winehouse explained that the singer's recent diagnosis with early stages of emphysema has led her to change her ways.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, she said: "I really don't think she's using now. Being diagnosed with the early stage of emphysema was a real jolt to her. A bit of a wake-up call. Mind you, I think she does have the odd sneaky cigarette. Give her a break, she's not a miracle worker."

Janis revealed she believes her daughter was rushed to hospital this week (July 28) after she took the wrong medication, despite her father Mitch believing her drink was spiked with ecstasy.

explaining: "The truth is that Amy ended up in hospital this week because she mixed up the medication she's taking to help her come off drugs. She took a wrong tablet."

The singer's mother also stated that she considered planning Winehouse's funeral arrangements, saying: "I reached the stage with Amy where I planned to ask her where she'd want to be buried."
